Woodcroft

Our School

Woodcroft is one of only two local authority nursery schools maintained by Essex County Council.

We offer independent learning through play where children rejoice in their own achievements.

We are an experienced and caring team including qualified school teachers and Nursery Nurses committed to providing a rich and inclusive curriculum.

We provide a happy and secure environment where every child can flourish and outstanding indoor and outdoor environments enabling children to learn and explore freely in all seasons.

We are a Forest School and our large and extensive gardens offer rich opportunities for challenge,  personal discovery and learning.  Once they are four, children also have the opportunity for half a term of weekly sessions with a small group in our Forest Garden where we grow vegetables, learn to use tools and cook our snack on an open fire!
