Woodcroft staff and Governors believe that our mission statement above encapsulates the 3 aims of the general public sector equality duty (Equality Act 2010).  Most importantly is the creation of a partnership between the school, the child and the family.

Our Equality Aims for 2016/17

To motivate all children to learn and especially to narrow the gap between boys’ and girls’ achievements on exit still further.  To use children’s interests particularly boys interests as starting points for their learning

 To raise the profile of removing barriers to learning and acheivement through staff training.

To further develop higher expectations of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) through training and a highly differentiated curriculum where appropriate.

To enable the children from economically challenged backgrounds to take full advantage of the curriculum and to review how effectively pupil premium is enabling the school to do this.

We expect that the impact will be higher levels of GLD            especially for:

Boys

Children with SEN

        Children from economically challenged backgrounds
