Woodcroft Educational visits

Each term some children make a visit to Purbeck Court (sheltered housing) to sing songs and rhymes.

Over the last few years we have also introduced the annual ‘Big Day Out’ which take place in the summer term.  These visits are subsidised by the nursery, but we do ask for a small contribution towards costs. We have enjoyed trips to Boydell’s dairy farm, meeting baby farm animals, [a real hands on experience!], a ‘Teddy Bears’ Picnic’ in Danbury Park and a ‘Splosh!’ visit to Hanningfield Reservoir where children enjoyed a number of activities including: bug hunting, den building and pond dipping. Both Staff and parents are involved in providing a day that the children will enjoy and remember, creating new experiences e.g. going on a coach or bus for the first time!
